Path to Well-being in Law Podcast

Javoyne shares how personal tragedy became the foundation of a statewide movement, and what it truly takes to shift the culture of mental health in the legal profession.

Path to Well-being in Law Podcast

Javoyne joined co-hosts Chris Newbold and Bree Buchanan on the Path to Well-Being in Law podcast for a wide-ranging conversation about her evolution from grieving mother to one of the legal profession's most influential wellness advocates. Drawing from the loss of her husband to suicide, she spoke candidly about why lawyers suffer in silence and what it takes to dismantle that culture — from partnering with judges and bar leaders to pioneering Georgia's first standalone wellness CLE. Javoyne detailed the growth of the State Bar of Georgia's wellness initiatives, including its landmark "How to Save a Life" campaign and the development of a first-of-its-kind wellness center designed to connect attorneys to the right resources before they reach a crisis point. Her message was both personal and strategic: real culture change happens through conversation, creative partnerships, and leaders who are willing to tell their own truth.
